Graphic Calendar

I created this Calendar for a class project. The prompt was to imagine our 80th birthday and what we and our guests would say about our life. It required an introspective view of myself and the way I interact in relationships. I personally built off this prompt and went in a different direction. I decided to reflect on what I have learned in the past few years while living though the Covid Pandemic.

The main focus of this poster is based on this question “how do i discover my authentic self without being influenced by other’s expectations?”. You can see this question repeated and distorted in the background of the poster.

The main visual represents the feeling of being broken down and trying to discover oneself. The most important part of this poster was the placement of the blocks, their proportion, and creating a somewhat accurate perspective. I also wanted a lot of texture and depth. Secondly, I added aspects of a traditional calendar. Obviously there is a large 2022 but more subtly there are twelve white blocks that represent the twelve months.

I've also included the drafting process where you can see the changes from sketch to digital.

Created with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Procreate in 2022.
