Part 1. Game Rules
Photo 5. Polymer Clay Game Pieces and Paper Cards
Game
This was the final project I did for a design class. The entire class was devoted to the focus on a single object of our choice. This object had to relate to the theme of "Compete". My object was a preserved dragonfly specimen. The final task was to make a game that used both our object and the theme.

The game i came up with was "Across the Pond". A game where two players moved their individual pieces across a "pond" of cards face down. Each card when landed on has a specific effect that can have a positive, negative or neutral effect.
When a player reaches the opposite side they win, however certain cards can impact their movement or completely eliminate them from the game. I intended the game setting to be that of a randomized and unpredictable environment to mimic the dragonfly's real life environment and fight for survival.
As part of the assignment I had to create the game in real life. Here is some pictures of the printed cards and game pieces I may out of polymer clay.
